Chinese New Year

As part of Nythe's Saturday Academy we celebrated Chinese New Year. 2009 is the year of the Ox. Oxen are born leaders, inspiring confidence in everyone they come into contact with. However, they can be too demanding. Methodical and good with their hands, they make fine surgeons and hairdressers.  

At Nythe we have many Chinese families who enjoy attending the Saturday Academy regularly.  They have now joined with the Learning Tree team and Nythe Learning Cadets to share with us a taste of China.  

As well as making masks to celebrate the year of the Ox. we made lucky envelopes and ate some delicious Chinese food prepared by some of the parents.
